Mere Preschool & Nursery has been established for over 30 years. We welcome children aged 2 to 5 years. We have very close links with Mere School. We provide a secure, warm and friendly environment for our children’s learning. Mere Preschool & Nursery is committee run and has charitable status.

At Mere Preschool & Nursery children are at the centre of everything we do. We are committed to supporting children to become confident and curious learners with good social skills.

To encourage our children to develop as independent learners. We offer free flow play, indoors and outdoors, and our children are involved in the planning process at every stage. This leads to children who are excited to come to preschool, and leave us well equipped for the next stage of their journey.

We aim to make the most of our surroundings and are often out on walks through the fields and around the town, exploring the local amenities. We make the most of every opportunity that we have with the children.

Our setting is open planned and we have a lovely garden and playground where the children can play and explore their curiosity as we feel that this is the best way in which children can learn and grow.

We offer 2, 3 & 4 year funding from 15 to 30 hours
